Guest Speaker for World of English Course (2)

The guest speaker for “The World of English” on May 31 was Ms. Yuki Inoue (井上有紀)from the graduating Class of 2005. Ms. Inoue specializes in Social Entrepreneurship/ Social Innovation, and is currently a visiting senior researcher at Keio University, as well as an independent consultant for various NPOs/NGOs and corporations. She shared the following comments with us after her lecture. (Marsha Krakower)

   — Have you ever thought of changing the world?」

Teach for America, Big Issue, The Body Shop, Grameen Bank, APOPO, Room to Readなど、世界各国の事例を紹介しました。

Social Change Starts Here.

This day marks the official launch of the English Department's community web site, English-USH. The basic idea of this new project is to see how the Internet helps us communicate in English in an interactive way, to enliven our studies & social life.

While there are several services available now, we still lack the most important part of it--the contents! That's for every one of us (students & professors) to build up.

Instructions & guidelines on how to participate in our online community will be announced towards the summer break.
